Meadmore, an incredible modern sculptor.
While a young artist, his work was highly regarded and he
was awarded a number of exhibitions, including several one-person
shows in Melbourne and Sydney, where he lived since 1960.
Meadmore moved to New York in 1963 at the age of 34 and
later became a United States citizen. With the exception
of a year spent in Australia, as photo editor for Vogue
magazine, Meadmore has lived and worked in New York.
In his sculpture, Meadmore endows a single form with clarity
and rigor, while at the same time conveys the complexity,
expressiveness and dynamics of classic modernist sculpture
which underlies Meadmore's pursuit of a gestural or "drawn"
character for his sculpture. Aside from matters of proportion,
his work acquires a monumental scale and a mode of address
that is engaged in rather than detached from the frankly
public, occasionally heroic voice it adopts.In a typical
sculpture by Clement Meadmore, a single, rectangular volume
repeatedly twists and turns upon itself before lunging into
space, as if in a mood of aspiration or exhiliration, or
simply to release physical forces held in tension. Meadmore's
works have always fused elements of Abstract Expressionism
and Minimalism. Since Meadmore's sculptures are often large,
this impression of effortless physical grace is simultaneously
underscored and called into question through the fluid signature

Zverev was born in 1931 in Moscow, where he worked until
his death in 1986. He was one of the most prolific and imaginative
of the unofficial artists of the USSR. An important contributer
to the Russian Expressionist movement of the 1960s, his
works are characterized by an agitated technique of emotional
abandon. Tapies,born
in Barcelona Tapies from the nineteen forties on, the use
of objects and references taken from the outside world as
a pretext for his own compositions has been a permanent
feature of Antoni Tàpies’s art. The importance
of materials of all shapes and sizes - anything from bits
of waste stuff upwards - to his art became clear very early
on. With Tàpies, matter and materials take pride
of place, basically because he sees them as media with unlimited,
infinite creative potential. And together with the treatment
of the material used, a particularly important point in
itself, a major consideration is the artist’s procedures
and execution, the personal, exclusive way he addresses
each work. The blots, stains, textures, smudges and signs
that abound in his creations, or any other kind of action
taken on the surface, automatically become a mode of expression
and communication and the need to resort to visually representative
transcriptions of an external reality disappears. Reality
leaves its impress on the work itself, not outside it, in
its visual representation, which would always be fictive.

Hammerman ,both a mixed media artist and painter Pat
Hammreman's work is abstract yet graceful. Daniel
Lang,A cosmopolitan painter, Lang's bases his invented
